Real time power outage information can be retrieved from the DTE Energy Outage Center Map. If public safety were to have been called to the location after an outage, e.g. to deal with a transformer explosion or other hazardous situation, you would be able to request an incident report via FOIA from the public agency which made the incident response. In certain circumstances, the Michigan Public Service Commission’s Consumer Complaints system may be a resource for inquiries and complaints into extended outage.
