Fran, restarting

Fran has been going through a lot; here’s what I wrote to her tonight.

Thank you so much for writing your way through your chemo treatments. I don’t often see anyone with such power to look at what is going on and make sense of it, never mind the subject matter. I wish only that I could write with a fraction of a clear mind in such a circumstance.
