More recipes! This was a part of tonight's dinner.
- Oil for sauteing
- Garlic
- Walnuts, halves or pieces
- Green beans, trimmed
- Oregano
- Lemon juice
Heat the oil in a large saucepan. Mince the garlic small, and add to the hot oil. Cook, stirring, until it smells great. Add the walnuts and stir fry until slightly browned or at least hot. Add the green beans and stir until coated with the oil. Sprinkle some oregano on top. Continue cooking until the green beans are done, then add some lemon juice and cover and take off the heat.

Recipe variants:
Toast the walnuts in the oven first, per this Lemon Green Beans with Walnuts recipe on Allrecipes. (Seems like a lot of work to me.)
Add some dijon mustard, per this Bon Appetit recipe via The Bitten Word.
Add dried cherries, per this Epicurious recipe.
Replace the oregano with dried basil, and omit the lemon juice. Steam the beans with a little water at the end.
