I am not certain how else this meeting was promoted; there's no sign of this on the city's "News" page, nor does a full text search of the City web site turn up a copy of it elsewhere. It affects everyone who goes to U of Michigan football games.

The Ann Arbor dotcom had previously reported on the same plans when they surfaced in 2010, and provides a few more details in their 2013 story.

The UM has requested a full closure of Main Street between Pauline and Stadium on football game days. I met with Chief Seto and Craig Hupy two weeks ago to discuss the possible scenarios of this request and the effects on your neighborhood. I requested that a meeting be set up to meet with the near neighborhoods to engage your feedback. The meeting information is below and I hope to see you there.

Meeting to Discuss the closure of Main Street

The City of Ann Arbor has scheduled a meeting on Wednesday, July 24 at 6 p.m. at the Ann Arbor Downtown District Library to share information with residents regarding a request from the University of Michigan to close portions of Main Street on UM Football Saturdays. City staff will be available at this meeting to answer questions from the community prior to City Council consideration of the U-M street closure request. 

Meeting Details:

Location: Ann Arbor Downtown District Library, 343 S. Fifth Ave., basement conference room 

Date: Wednesday, July 24 at 6 p.m.

Accommodations: Persons with disabilities are encouraged to participate in public meetings. Accommodations, including sign language interpreters, may be arranged by contacting the city clerk's office at 734.794.6140; via email to: cityclerk@a2gov.org; or by written request addressed and mailed or delivered to: City Clerk's Office, 301 E.
